I want to dedicate these shots to my friends who live by the shore and enjoy their yachtsman life. I want to have the ability to add those specific ocean smells and noises. let’s imagine them.

I am a passionate observer who likes to collect the moments and the looks.
Fabulously composed photos — I can absolutely smell the sea when I look at them. Beautiful.
I love this post. When I was young in South Africa I had friends who lived on their yachts, and these photos remind me of exactly what the difference was between just being by the sea and being on a boat by the sea. Very, very well captured. I can almost hear the slop of the waves against boat hulls and piers, and smell the smells of the harbour.
The picture of the plastered over window is great! Thanks for sharing.
These are great N !
I absolutely love taking photos by the sea -and the rope image is fantastic !!!! The texture conveyed by this shot means that I can almost feel that rough hairy surface…Please let me know what lens you used – and do you have any tips on how to capture such a wonderful textured effect across the whole image ?
That shot was done with my EF f/1.4 50mm lens. I love this lens a lot, especially the fact that I am in full control of what I am doing. I love to walk around my objects of interest, come closer or get a few steps back using variety of angles. My major goal is the composition of a shot, and I think that what set me apart from others, and I am aware of my weaknesses. I know that I have to learn so much more in terms of technology.
I know a lot of very technical photographers, and their images are very good, sharp and clear, however I am not attracted to them , I guess because the “inventory” photography is way to cold and dry for my eye.
Wonderful! And yes, I can smell the salty sea, briny seaweed.
Thanks for the likes today on my blog.
