Now, it’s just impossible to believe that the Eiffel Tower was meant to be a temporary structure. Being an iconic architectural site in France, the Eiffel Tower is one of the greatest examples of engineering and design success. Just look at all those aesthetically pleasing lines and arches. I love the appearance of the tower in whole, but can admire the detailing as well. All those supporting structures were so beautifully thought through. All those long and short beams create incredible rhythms that I just hear music as I look into the wonderful construction.
I am a passionate observer who likes to collect the moments and the looks.

I’ve been to Paris three times now, and have been up the tower twice. It never escapes my attention, the sheer beauty of the detail!

Why was it supposed to be temporary? And temporary for what? Did they intend to enclose it?

Lovely photos! I am obsessed with the ‘tour eiffel’ and have over 30 in my place (and wrote a blog highlighting this fact). My best moment with this incredible structure was walking up the stairs with my family when my kids were 2 & 4 years old.
