Khajuraho Group of Monuments is protected by UNESCO, and that the reason it’s in very neat condition right now. It’s a must-see place in India. One can spend whole day here studying the amazing carvings telling and illustrating stories from Kama Sutra. The group of medieval hindu temples was made out of the sand stone with use of a unique mortise and tenon joints and they held together by gravity.

Makes modern architecture look so anaemic by comparison. .
Hmmmm. My kinda place.
Makes me wonder …
Who “designs” these ?
The temples were built over 200 years and done in 12 century. Originally it was more than 80 temples, and now about 25 survived and they are in pretty good condition. The carvings on the temples walls depict the sexual life of medieval India, and nowadays perceived as an illustration for the ancient Indian Hindu text “Kama Sutra”.
