I’ve been in Vatican two times. These pictures were taken a few years ago. I liked that visit more than first for a simple reason: fewer people! It was raining all day long, at times cats and dogs, so it eliminated a big percent of the wanderers from Saint Peter’s Square and from the Vatican museums as well. I was soaking wet constantly covering my camera and lenses from getting extra moisture on them, sometimes not able to take any pictures, but I couldn’t close my eyes on the beauty and richness around me.
Wonderful photos. It makes me feel as though I am back there!
Very nice pictures, Natalia, despite (thanks to?) the bad weather. Actually climbing on top of St Peter’s dome can provide additional inspiration, with a different point of view on the basilica. Here are some shots from my last climb: http://wp.me/p3sImA-kV. Did you climb the dome as well?
Fewer people rules! 😀
