Rio has a unique and always recognizable landscape. The city is just magnificent from a bird’s-eye view. I made some interesting finds while I was browsing Copacabana, Leblon and Ipanema, visiting the local samba and jazz clubs, and local markets. I had the opportunity to visit different parts of the city, and even went for a football( soccer) game of two local club teams: that was a great experience.
Milan Cathedral is an amazing example of Italian architecture. This great Gothic example took almost 6 century to complete. More than 80 architects and lead engineers invested their talent into this creation. Nowadays, it requires constant maintenance and restoration. Do you know that you can adopt one of its 135 gargoyles to contribute to the restoration fund?
The French Quarter of Panama City is a very exciting place for a photographer. Every angle you look, you see something unique and interesting the old architecture, shadows in the empty buildings, people on streets, small shops. It worths a visit, and, oh, yes, I couldn’t forget the passion fruit gelato – that was just awesome!
Now, it’s just impossible to believe that the Eiffel Tower was meant to be a temporary structure. Being an iconic architectural site in France, the Eiffel Tower is one of the greatest examples of engineering and design success. Just look at all those aesthetically pleasing lines and arches. I love the appearance of the tower in whole, but can admire the detailing as well. All those supporting structures were so beautifully thought through. All those long and short beams create incredible rhythms that I just hear music as I look into the wonderful construction.
