The country is full of talented performers: folk dancers, singers, musicians, and acrobats. I had a great time learning about the craft of the Pekin Opera performers. I enjoyed all given opportunities to watch the acrobats show on the street and the grand theater hall.
Finding the characters is always been a great task for me. My trip to China gave me the opportunity to interact with a lot of local people due to the nature of my visit. They were very friendly and open to communicate. Staying and participating in volunteering project in a small village in Guilin region was a very pleasant experience. People are simple and very opened to visitors.
China is a very diverse country geographically and culturally. Last summer, I had an opportunity to travel to China’s most beautiful and interesting places. I was fascinated by the variety of nature and people. I brought home a collection of thousands photo pictures with exceptional memories. I would like to share just a few favorites with you.
Wuzhen is an old Water Town located on the banks of the Grand Canal. It’s just a couple of hours north from Shanghai. Locals with a help of government carefully restored and renovated this 13 century old beauty. They turned it into an interesting touristy place. The town is extremely busy during day time. I decided to get up at 5AM and stroll the cute streets while the town was just waking up.
