I played a little with my LensBaby, photographing practically everything around the house. I even made my cats model their eyes and paws, but honestly, they didn’t appreciate my artistic efforts. My two smart cats simply ran away from me and hid in a safe place for the time their owner keeps the camera in her hands. I ended up experimenting with fruits on the table, as inanimate objects now they didn’t escape the photo session. Here are the results:

Well, what an artist needs for inspiration? How many and what quality objects does he needs? What set of the expensive paints and brushes are required? I think, sometimes creativity arise from a boredom. Here I had a plastic water bottle and my camera on me. I can state that this water bottle was half full for me. I manipulated the exposure, definition and temperature on these images to get my abstract painting.
Last winter, I took a few pictures of my car covered in snow, side mirrors with sliding off snow, and some drooping icicles. When I uploaded the pictures I looked at the ton of white on white textures, mixed with see-through icicles and my car modestly peeping out from under the snow. So… I just colored the snow as I would do to the white paper. Here are some fun results.

I can find fascinating textures practically in everything and everywhere. Just look at the usual object with a new angle, new perspective, in a new light, and slightly or dramatically changed dimensions. Everything starts to appear as new and exciting, much entertaining to the eye and the sole. Here is me, browsing in a neighborhood.
We are surrounded with textures. I was fascinated by the unique designs created by water streams on the sandy beach in Costa Rica. Every angle I look I found a new interesting pattern of water and sand. The lower layers of sand were darker colors and the top layers were much lighter. When the stream made its way to the ocean, water carved a natural design with unique repetitions of dark and light sand.
