Now, it’s just impossible to believe that the Eiffel Tower was meant to be a temporary structure. Being an iconic architectural site in France, the Eiffel Tower is one of the greatest examples of engineering and design success. Just look at all those aesthetically pleasing lines and arches. I love the appearance of the tower in whole, but can admire the detailing as well. All those supporting structures were so beautifully thought through. All those long and short beams create incredible rhythms that I just hear music as I look into the wonderful construction.

Now, it’s just impossible to believe that the Eiffel Tower was meant to be a temporary structure. Being an iconic architectural site in France, the Eiffel Tower is one of the greatest examples of engineering and design success. Just look at all those aesthetically pleasing lines and arches. I love the appearance of the tower in whole, but can admire the detailing as well. All those supporting structures were so beautifully thought through. All those long and short beams create incredible rhythms that I just hear music as I look into the wonderful construction.
Versailles is a gorgeous palace that has gardens that used to be a summer residence for the French royalty. Le Petit Trianon, Marie Antoinette’s cottage, the gardens, and the fountains… everything is beautiful… if you can really see it. The place is extremely overcrowded. I was able to photograph only corners and ceilings in the palace. In the hall of mirrors I felt as I would be in the NYC subway in rush hour. The French themselves were suggesting to visit their main historical and architectural sites during the winter time. Here are some of my shots from the palace, I have to add I had a marvelous time outside in the gardens for about 5 hours though.
Seeing Paris attractions and sightseeing in a personal way is always a fun, photographing them is even better. I love relaxing walk with meaningful shots, however it’s almost never happened – I run from place to place and try to capture as many interesting elements as possible. Being quick is good, however being mindful is better. Here are my quickies:
